Updated: Emergency Road Closure, Killian Hill Road
Officials are closing part of Killian Hill Road for emergency road repairs.
Updated: The area is now open, as of about 3 p.m. According to officials, a portion of the bridge was blocked while a contractor for the Yellow River bridge replacement project moved a drill rig, which is used for drilling the foundation of the new bridge, from one side of the river to the other.

Killian Hill Road at the Yellow River is closed for emergency roadway repairs, according to the Gwinnett County Department of Transportation.

The detour route will be Killian Hill Road to Five Forks Trickum Road to Oak Road to Highpoint Road to U.S. Highway 78 to Killian Hill Road and the reverse.
An alternate detour route will be Killian Hill Road to Five Forks Trickum Road to Lake Lucerne Road to US 78 to Killian Hill Road and the reverse.
