HOT Lanes Town Hall Today

StolenLanes.org will host a town hall meeting today, Nov. 17, at Gwinnett Justice and Administration.

The event is scheduled for 7 p.m.

Representatives from the State Road and Toll Authority have been invited, however StolenLanes.org organizers have said that the SRTA may not be in attendance.

Baruch Feigenbaum, a transportation policy analyst for Reason.org, is expected to speak. A pro-HOT lane group also has been invited.

According to a press release from StolenLanes.org, Reason.org "believes that the I-85 HOV lane can operate successfully as a HOT lane but that there may be room for improvement in the implementation that occurred."

Questions also were sent prior to the meeting to Sen. Renee Unterman, Sen. Curt Thompson, and Gena L. Evans of the SRTA. StolenLanes.org, with the aim of providing answers to the most popular questions before the question-and-answer period of the town hall meeting.

7:10 p.m. -- SRTA/GDOT answers to questions
7:55 -- Quick break before press questions
8 p.m. -- Press questions
8:15 p.m. -- Public comments and questions
9 p.m. -- End remarks and wrap-up
