Howard Plans Lilburn Town Hall Meet

Gwinnett District 2 Commissioner Lynette Howard has four meetings scheduled next month in the area.

Neighborhood safety and county finances will be among the topics of a town hall meeting with County Commissioner Monday, Aug. 1, at .

The meeting is scheduled for 7 p.m.-8:30 p.m. and will include input from county Chief Financial Officer Aaron Bovos and Gwinnett Police representatives.

The meeting is the first of four planned next month with Howard, who represents county District 2. The district covers southwest Gwinnett and includes the cities of Lilburn, Berkeley Lake and Norcross, as well as the Peachtree Corners area.

All of the meetings will include a brief financial presentation by Bovos and other speakers who will speak on specific issues.

Aug. 10, Singleton Road Activity Building, 5220 Singleton Road. Additional presentations: Stormwater and an update on the tri-state water wars.

Aug. 25 Lucky Shoals Park Community Center, 4651 Britt Road. Additional presentation: Gwinnett Chamber VP of Economic Development Nick Masino on Gwinnett’s economic development efforts.
