Last Chance: Business License Renewals

Late fees for renewals rise to $125 and 10 percent of the occupation tax after March 31.

If you own a business in the city of Lilburn and haven't renewed your business license, the penalty for doing it late is about to grow steep.

If you renew now, the late fee is $25. After March 31, the fee is $125, plus 10 percent of the occupation tax. The city's offices are closed on Saturday, so the renewal will have to be done by Friday to avoid the stiffer penalties.

Renewal packets can be downloaded from the city's website, in the Business Development section. City staff members at the First Avenue Annex, at 98 First Avenue, can help if you have questions.
