Leadership Gwinnett Sets 2014 Class, New Fundraising Goals

Leadership Gwinnett has a new class of participants, as it gets rolling on a long-term goal to raise hundreds of thousands of dollars for the organization.

Last week, a total of 42 new participants were chosen for the 2014 class. Their selection was based on work experience, accomplishments, community involvement and education, among other things.

Community members chosen this year include local council members, teachers, business owners and more. For the full list of participants, see the attached document.

In addition to selecting its 2014 class, Leadership Gwinnett also recently disclosed a goal to raise $600,000 over the next five years in a campaign entitled "Key to a Better Gwinnett," as reported in the Gwinnett Daily Post.

The fundraising is part of a new community-supported strategic plan, and a kickoff meeting is planned for June 19 in Duluth.
