Consideration of the Minutes of Regular Meeting, Monday, January 9, 2012

Consideration of the Minutes of Special Called Meeting, Tuesday, February 7, 2012 

New Business:

1.    2011 Mayoral & Council Appointments to Commissions and Boards

Recommendation: That the Mayor and Council approve the appointment of Kathy Rice to the Planning Commission by Mayor Crist and the appointment of Patrick Carr to the Board of Adjustments by Councilman Wight as presented

2.    Girl Scout Day Camp – Lilburn City Park

Recommendation: That the Mayor and Council approve the request of Lilburn Girl Scout Day Camp to utilize the City Park for their annual day camp to be held June 4 – June 8, 2012, from 8:30 A.M. – 4:00 P.M.; camp registration in the Auditorium on March 11, 2012 from 1 P.M. to 5 P.M.; and training session on May 12, 2012 from 8 A.M. to 4 P.M. in the park pavilion.

3.    Application for Alcoholic Beverage License for El Tropical Caribbean Grill

Recommendation: That the City Council approve the application of El Tropical Caribbean Grill for a license to sell beer and wine for on-premises consumption with Sunday sales at 3907 Burns Road, Suite 9, as approved by the Alcohol Review Board.

4.    2011 U. S. DOJ Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) B11-8-01

Recommendation: That the Mayor and Council approve to accept the 2011 Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant, CJCC Subgrant B11-8-01, in the amount of $9,390 to be used for law enforcement purposes. Further, to authorize the City Manager or Finance Director to approve and execute documents as needed.

5.    City of Lilburn Safety Policies and Procedures Manual - 2012

Recommendation: That the Mayor and Council approve the City of Lilburn Safety Policies and Procedures Manual, 2012 edition, as presented.

6.    Big League Dreams License Agreement Provisions

Recommendation: There is no formal recommendation from staff at this time. Staff awaits direction of the Mayor and Council.

7.    City of Lilburn Special Events Policy

Recommendation: There is no formal recommendation from staff at this time.

8.    Placement of Speed Control Devices – RadarSign

Recommendation: That the Mayor and Council approve placement of a RadarSign speed control devices on Main Street and Killian Hill Road.
