Six Candidates in the Running for Two Council Seats

Kay Bennett qualified on Friday to run for Post 2, the seat now held by Scott Batterton.

Kay Bennett qualified on Friday to run for Post 2, City Clerk Kathy Maner said, bringing the number of candidates to four who will be vying for the seat now held by Scott Batterton.


Lilburn Realtor Porter Deal and Angel Alonso are also seeking that seat, and Batterton is running for re-election.


and are running for Post 1, the seat now held by Johnny Crist. Crist will be running for mayor against the incumbent, Diana Preston.
