TSPLOST Public Information Sessions in Gwinnett

Monday, June 25, is first of 3 sessions to answer questions and further inform Gwinnett's voters about TSPLOST.

Monday's session at in Peachtree Corners will be held with Jane Hayse, Director of Transportation at the Atlanta Regional Commission. She will review the facts and provide information and answer questions about specific projects and their impact on local communities.

Other sessions will be held as follows:

Thursday, June 28, 7:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. - Lawrenceville City Hall, hosted by the City of Lawrenceville - 70 South Clayton Street - Lawrenceville, GA  30046

Thursday, July 19, 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. and again from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. - Dacula City Hall - 442 Harbins Road  - Dacula, GA  30019

On July 31, residents across the 10-county Atlanta area will have the opportunity to vote on the 1 percent sales tax that would fund $8.5 billion in transportation improvements through a regional one percent sales tax.

Here is a list of projects that would be funded by the TSPLOST. Of note for Lilburn is project: TIA‐GW‐011- Widening Five Forks Trickum Road from Killian Hill Road to Oak Road that is budgeted for $10,400,000. (See page 7 of 10). and TIA-GW-030 for a pedestrian and bicycling network along Lawrenceville Highway between Hood Road and Hillcrest Road for $1,850,000.

On July 16th, the Lilburn Woman's Club will host a TSPLOST debate and an opportunity to meet judicial candidates beginning at 6:15 p.m. at Lilburn City Hall.
