Where to Pick Up a Six Pack on Sunday

In Lilburn, Sunday alcohol sales won't start until Dec. 18 at the earliest.

 

About 56 percent of voters in the Nov. 8 Lilburn city elections voted in favor of allowing packaged alcohol sales on Sunday, but those sales won't become a reality in the city before Dec. 18 at the earliest.

The alcohol review board decided at this week's meeting to recommend that Sunday sales be allowed as soon as the city council approves the amendment to the alcohol ordinance, board member Teresa Czyz said. The next city council meeting is Monday, Dec. 12.

In the meantime, you can buy packaged alcohol tomorrow in neighboring Snellville, and also in Lawrenceville, Suwanee and Duluth. Some stores have reported that although sales are allowed, .
