The students will spend four weeks on the campus of Valdosta State University, where they will be able to study subjects of their choosing.

Eight students from Berkmar High, Meadowcreek High and Parkview High will spend their summer as part of the state's Governor's Honors Program.

In all, 96 students in Gwinnett County Public Schools will participate in the program. Across Georgia nearly 700 students were chosen for the program.
