After a month of ups and downs, the Gwinnett County Board of Education has named a new principal for Berkmar High School.
During their monthly meeting on Thursday evening, they announced Alfred "Al" Taylor will take over as principal of the Lilburn high school.
Taylor is currently the principal of Radloff Middle School in Duluth. He has worked in the Gwinnett County Public Schools system since 2002 when he taught sixth grade math at Sweetwater Middle School.
The new principal is currently working on his Doctoral degree in Educational Leadership at Georgia State University. He is a 2010 graduate of the Quality-Plus Leader Academy, Aspiring Principal Program.
