DeJesus Named Principal of Berkmar Middle School
DeJesus will take over for current principal Kenney Wells, who was appointed to another position in within Gwinnett County Public Schools
A new principal for Berkmar Middle School in Lilburn was appointed at the Gwinnett County Board of Education's September meeting.
Jose DeJesus was approved to take over for Berkmar's current principal Kenney Wells. DeJesus will transfer to the school from his position as principal at Beaver Ridge Elementary School in Norcross-- a position he has held since 2009. He previously served as an Assistant Principal at Berkmar High School from 2005 to 2008. DeJesus is a graduate of Gwinnett County Public Schools' 2007 Quality-Plus Leader Academy-Aspiring Principal Program.
Wells is taking on the position of Human Resources Staffing Director in the school district’s Division of Human Resources and Talent Management.
