Community Gardens in Urban Environments

Fred Conrad, Community Garden Coordinator, with the Atlanta Community Food Bank, will talk about community gardens. We will learn all about community gardens including how to plan for one, how they work in urban environments, how individual HOAs or condo communities can have one, the advantages of having fresh food, what resources are available to help plan and build gardens and how we can start a community garden in our community.

The Greater Gwinnett Group of the Sierra Club meets at Berkmar High School. Socializing begins at 7pm and the program starts at 7:30pm.
