The educational garden is broken into several unique learning areas: a Rainbow Garden, Dragon Garden, Music Garden, Heritage Gardens, Storybook Gardens, Herb Garden, Math Gardens, and Sensory Garden. The garden is aimed at reconnecting students with nature, thereby improving upon the health and well-being of the children, their environment, and the school’s community.

Knight Elementary Principal Toni Ferguson says, "Environmental awareness learned in early childhood promotes optimal childhood health, intellectual development, and environmental stewardship."
