Knight Elementary Plans to Reopen Following Flu Outbreak

The school in Lilburn cancelled classes Friday after 10 percent of its students fell ill.

It's back to school Monday for students at Knight Elementary School.

On Thursday, school administrators decided to cancel classes Friday after 80 of the school's 720 students came down with gastroenteritis, or the stomach flu

Cleaning crews came into the Lilburn school Friday to thoroughly disinfect it.

The school bell will ring once again Monday at 8:50am.

However, if a child is still sick Monday, Principal Toni Ferguson asks parents to keep that child home until they show no symptoms without medication for 24 hours.
