Lilburn Author's Children's Book Makes Contest Finals

Tanya Valentine's book may win a whole e-library of books for Knight Elementary School.

A book by Lilburn writer Tanya Valentine, All Bears Need Love, has made it to the finals in a national competition.

If Valentine's book wins the MeeGenius Author Challenge, All Bears Need Love will be published, and Knight Elementary School will get a complete e-library from a publisher of electronic books for kids. MeeGenius claims to be the "world's largest enhanced digital library."

Valentine, who is white, was inspired to write All Bears Need Love after adopting  her African-American son and experiencing some negative reactions to the bi-racial family.
