Tami Feng / Valedictorian

Parents: Fang Feng and Yan Li.

Major: Biology.

Career Goals: Neurologist.

Samuel Gowland / Salutatorian

Parents: Kathe and Michael Gowland.

College attending: Arizona State University/Barrett Honors College.

Major: Biological Sciences.

Scholarships: Out-of-state tuition grant to ASU Barrett, National Merit Norfolk Southern Foundation ($1,000 per year); Maxxis Salutatorian Scholarship ($500).

Other scholarship offers: Full-tuition National Merit Scholarship offers from Alabama, Oklahoma, Central Florida, UT Dallas.

Career goals: "I hope to be a medial researcher or a college professor, or whatever other direction my heart may take me."

Honors and awards: National Merit Scholarship Finalist, National AP Scholar, Maureen O'Donnell Oxford Classical Dictionary Award.

School activities: National English Honor Society, Academic Decathlon, Student Council, Literary Magazine Staff, National Honor Society, Beta Club, Science National Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta, National Latin Honor Society.

Community activities: Church, recreational sports, music.
