New Principal Announced for Mountain Park Elementary

Veteran educator Dr. Allan Gee will be joining the Lilburn school June 3.

News broke last week of Mountain Park Elementary's its current principal, .

Today (May 17), Gwinnett County Public Schools announced that Dr. Allan Gee will be filling her spot at Mountain Park.

According to a news release, Gee will be taking the position starting June 3.

The veteran educator has been in the teaching field since 1993, and he joined the GCPS in 2003. He left the school system in 2009 for Alaska and is now returning back to Gwinnett.

2003-20007: Assistant Principal, Richards Middle

1999-2003: Principal, Kodiak Middle (Kodiak, Alaska)

1997-1999: Principal,Wainwright/Alak School (Wainwright, Alaska)

1996-1997: Assistant Principal, Jefferson High (Jefferson City School District, Georgia)

1995-1996: 5th Grade Teacher, Friendship Elementary (Hall County Schools, Ga.)

1993-1995: 7th and 8th Grade Teacher, West Hall Middle (Hall County Schools, Georgia)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Middle Grades Education – North Georgia College and State University
  • Master’s degree in Educational Leadership – University of Georgia
  • Doctoral degree in Educational Leadership – Nova Southeastern University

Dr. Gee is also a graduate of the school district’s 2007 Quality-Plus Leader Academy, Aspiring Principal program.
