Parkview Outlasts Archer, Wins 20-18

Parkview stays unbeaten in Region 8-AAAAAA; rival Brookwood comes to Lilburn next week.

Chris Carson scored two touchdowns as the Parkview High School football team beat Archer 20-18 Friday in Lawrenceville.

The 10th-ranked Panthers, who led 14-0 in the first half, needed to hang on to improve to 3-1 overall, 2-0 in Region 8-AAAAAA and avenge a loss last year to the Tigers that knocked them out of the playoff hunt.

Parkview, which beat previous No. 1 Grayson last week, took a big step with Friday's win. A win next week at home against rival Brookwood could very well decide the region championship.
