Parkview Educator is Top Latin Teacher

Dr. Robert Patrick selected for award by the Georgia Classical Association

Dr. Robert Patrick, Parkview High School’s Teach of the Year in 2008, has been named the state’s top Latin teacher by the Georgia Classical Association.

Dr. Patrick was awarded the honor at the organization’s annual Junior Classical League Convention earlier this spring.

According to a press release from the Gwinnett County Public Schools’ Communications and Media Relations department.

According to the release, “the organization took notice that [Dr. Patrick] is known as a leader not only in Gwinnett, but also across the nation. He also stands out among his peers in terms of sound pedagogical practices and evidence of ongoing professional growth.”

Dr. Patrick, who has been at Parkview since 2005, has a bachelor’s degree in Biblical Literature (Greek and Hebrew) from Oral Roberts University, a master’s of divinity degree in Theology and Pastoral Studies from Emory University, and a doctoral degree in Latin and Classics from the University of Florida.
