Parkview Hosts Punt, Pass & Kick (And Cow-Chip Bingo, Too)

Community can get to know Parkview Football at upcoming carnival.

is hosting an NFL Punt, Pass and Kick competition as part of its Parkview Football Kickoff Carnival and Player Introduction program Aug. 6.

The competition, scheduled to start at 4:30 p.m. (be there by 4:15), is open to kids ages 6 to 15. Follow this link to sign up.

The Kickoff Carnival begins at 6 p.m. and also will include performances by the marching band and cheerleaders, as well as inflatibles, face-painting, dunk booth ($3 for unlimited play), and cow-chip bingo. For $10 per square, you pick a square in which you think a cow — yes, an actual cow — will leave its mark in the end zone. The winner gets $500.

After the cheerleaders and band perform, head coach Cecil Flowe will introduce the 2011 football squad at 7:30 p.m.
