Providence Moves On to Class A Finals

For the second straight year, the Stars are playing in the Class A baseball finals.

The Stars defeated Savannah Christian 7-6 in the final game of the best-of-three series Tuesday to reach the title round. Providence will face Charlton County in the finals. Charlton beat George Walton Academy two games to one in its semifinal series.

Providence was pushed to the wall after Savannah Christian won Game 2 of the series 5-4, also played Tuesday after being rained out on Monday.
