Trickum Middle Top 10 in Writing Test
The Lilburn school was eighth statewide in the Grade 8 State Writing Test. Six other Gwinnett schools were in top 20.
Trickum Middle School in Lilburn was one of seven Gwinnett County middle schools to score in the top 20 statewide on the 2011 Grade 8 State Writing Test.
Trickum was eighth in the state. Osborne and North Gwinnett middle schools finished first and second, respectively.
Overall, the school system increased its passing rate from 91 percent in 2010 to 93 percent this year. Fourteen percent of all Gwinnett eighth-graders scored in the “exceeds” category, compared to five percent statewide.
