Roswell beat Berkmar Patriots 46-33 in the first round of the Class AAAAA girls basketball tournament Friday in Roswell.
Roswell controlled the first half of the game, posting a 19-6 lead at the end of the first period and going to the locker room with a 30-12 advantage at halftime.
The Patriots managed to generate more offense in the second half, outscoring Roswell in both the third and fourth quarters, but it was too little, too late as Roswell's lead proved to be more than Berkmar could overcome.
Teanna Robinson scored 9 points to lead Berkmar, which finished the season with an 18-11 record.
