Berkmar High's 'Coach Z' Makes a Move

Justin Zaleski, a varsity basketball coach at Berkmar High, has accepted a new position in North Carolina.

A Lilburn varsity basketball coach has accepted a lead coaching position at a North Carolina high school.

Justin Zaleski, or "Coach Z" as he's called, is moving on after spending seven years with Gwinnett County Public Schools. Most recently, he served as a social studies teacher and varsity basketball coach at Berkmar High.

On Tuesday, Crest High officials in Shelby, N.C., introduced Zaleski to his new school and team, as reported in The Shelby Star.

Zaleski also announced the move -- his first position as a varsity head coach -- on his Facebook page.

An Alabama native, Zaleski has worked in education since 2001. Among other positions, he also taught and coached at Pinckneyville Middle School in Peachtree Corners.
