Caleb King Says He'll Turn Pro

The UGA running back, who played football at Parkview and GAC, will enter NFL supplemental draft.

Caleb King, the former Parkview running back who was, confirmed Tuesday that he intends to turn pro.

Making his announcement through the UGA athletics department website, King said he would entered the NFL supplemental draft, which has yet to be scheduled.

“I will continue to put my situation and future career in God's hands,” he said in the prepared statement. “I look forward to pursuing an opportunity at the next level through the NFL's supplemental draft and playing the game that I have loved since I was a young boy."

In his statement, King said he appreciated the role coach Mark Richt and the rest of the UGA program has played in his development. “I have learned countless lessons that continue to mold me into a better individual and player,” he said.

King, who played his sophomore and junior seasons at Parkview before transferring to Greater Atlanta Christina School in Norcross, rushed for 430 yards and two touchdowns in 2010.
