Lilburn Has Four in the State Basketball Tournament
Berkmar's boys enter as the No. 1 seed from Region 8-AAAAA

Four Lilburn teams have advanced to the Georgia High School Association state tournament, beginning this week all across the state.
Leading the local contingent are Berkmar’s boys, the Region 8-AAAAA champions, who will host Roswell Saturday (7 p.m.) in the first round.

The Patriots (20-7) beat Archer 48-45 Saturday in the region championship game at Parkview High School. Roswell (13-15) is the No. 4 team from Region 6-AAAAA.
Parkview and Berkmar girls are scheduled to play in the AAAAA girls tournament, beginning Saturday.

Parkview (23-5), which lost to Brookwood 49-44 in the 8-AAAAA final, plays Milton (17-5), the third seed from 6-AAAAA. That game is scheduled Friday at Parkview
Berkmar (18-10), the fourth seed from 8-AAAAA, plays 6-AAAAA champ Roswell (20-7). Time and date are TBA.
Providence Christian’s boys (19-9) plays at home at 6 p.m. Tuesday in a Class A preliminary game against Athens Academy (14-13) of Region 8-A. The winner advances to play in the Class A first round later in the week. Providence is the No. 4 see from Region 5-A.
