News Report: Tyler Perry Donates $5,000 to Gwinnett Soccer Team

Atlanta media mogul Tyler Perry is in a giving spirit this week.

First the public learned that Perry donated $50,000 to the family of a man who was left paralyzed after leaping into a creek to save a 4-year-old girl.

Now, WSB-TV is reporting that Perry is giving $5,000 to a Gwinnett County soccer team, after the team's money was stolen earlier this month.

The team -- the Phoenix Red Boys -- had been fundraising on Beaver Ruin Road in Lilburn, when they took a break to eat. That's when thieves found a chance to steal the hard-earned money from inside a vehicle.

The team is ranked No. 1 in the nation and is raising money to attend regional and national tournaments.
