Panthers Lose at Brookwood, 10-0

Annual "Battle of Five Forks Trickum" goes to the Broncos.

Brookwood beat visiting Parkview 10-0 Friday night in the latest version of the Battle of Five Forks-Trickum, Gwinnett County's fiercest football rivalry.

It was the Broncos' first win of the season, improving them to 1-3. Parkview fell to 0-5.

Jesse Brown's 42-yard touchdown run in the second quarter was all Brookwood needed to end a three-game losing streak to start the season.

Brookwood also got a 41-yard field from Brandon Morrow, as well as a strong defensive effort, which kept Parkview off the scoreboard despite two Brookwood turnovers and a roughing-the-kicker penalty that had given the Panthers the ball at the 10-yard line.

The annual rivalry game was well attended despite both teams' lackluster records. Both stands were mostly filled.
