Panthers, Patriots Win State Titles in Soccer

The Parkview girls and the Berkmar boys teams won Class AAAAAA titles last Saturday.

It was a big day in sports last Saturday (May 18) for Lilburn soccer teams.

The Parkview girls and the Berkmar boys both won the Class AAAAAA titles in the Georgia High School Association state championships, played at Kennesaw State University.

The score was 2-1 in the Lady Panthers-Harrison game, which took place at 5 p.m. The victory marks the eighth state soccer championship that the Parkview girls team has won or shared, their last title win in 2009.

In the Patriots' 7:30 p.m. game, Berkmar beat Collins Hill 2-0, earning the Berkmar boys their first state title.
