Parkview, Berkmar Soccer Head to State Playoffs

The Lady Panthers and the boys soccer team for the Patriots will be at Kennesaw State University on Saturday for their chance at winning the Class AAAAAA titles.

Two Lilburn high schools are headed to the varsity soccer state finals at Kennesaw State University this weekend.

Parkview's girls soccer team will be playing against Harrison at 5 p.m. Saturday (May 18), and Berkmar's boys team will be going head-to-head against Collins Hill at 7:30 p.m. the same day. Both teams will be fighting for the Class AAAAAA titles.

While the Lady Panthers have won or shared seven state girls soccer championships, the last one in 2009, the Patriots will be playing for its first soccer championship in school history.

For the Berkmar game, a spirit bus is leaving the high school at 5:30 p.m. Saturday, and guests are welcome to hop on board for $10. Tickets can be purchased in the school's athletic office, according to the Berkmar Facebook page.
