Parkview Boys Win Second Consecutive Swim and Dive Title, Video Available

Lilburn's Panthers finished just ahead of runner-up Chattahoochee High School.

Parkview High School's boys swim and dive team are state champions again -- for the second consecutive year.

The Panthers finished with 234 points, edging ahead of Chattahoochee High School by justeight points. Chattahoochee High scored 226; Lassiter High placed third with 211 points, according to Gwinnett Daily Post.

Parkview's team also finished first last year. Over the past two decades, the boys have won state championships about half the time, including a winning streak in 2000, 2001, 2002, and 2003.

The school's program is known for turning out stellar swimmers, including Eric Shanteau who captured the coveted gold medal in the 2012 Olympics.
