Parkview Grad on Soccer Watch List

Ashley Baker, a goalkeeper, set an SEC record with four straight shutouts last season.

Ashley Baker, a junior goalkeeper from Lilburn, was one of three University of Georgia soccer players named to the SEC Preseason Coaches Watch List, according to RedandBlack.com.

Baker, a Parkview graduate, was a second-team All-SEC performer last year, leading the SEC with a .870 save percentage and posting a .60 goals-against average in league play. Georgia was an SEC semifinalist last fall.

She set an SEC record with four consecutive shutouts.

In 21 games overall, she had a .85 goals against average and nine shutouts.

Baker also played on the Atlanta Silverbacks team that won the W-League championship this past summer.
