There have been a number of rankings released for high school baseball, including one that named Parkview High as the No. 1 team preseason.

The team's season begins March. 1 against Collins Hill High in Suwanee.

In Grayson High's first game against this year, the Rams topped Winder-Barrow, 13-5. On feb. 27, the team plays against Collins Hill High, according to MaxPreps.

Loganville High has started its season, and the team is 2-0. It opened the season with 13-2 win against Snellville's South Gwinnett High. The team then went on to beat Whitewater High, 6-0, according to MaxPreps.

The Parkview Panthers are considered one of the best teams in the nation, as the reigning 2012 state champions in Class AAAAA. The team also won a Baseball America National Championship.

However, the team has lost top players, among them are Matt Olson and Jesse Foster, who both graduated last year.
