Parkview, Grayson and Loganville Baseball Teams Make New Rankings

State champion Parkview High School is listed as No. 19 in MaxPreps rankings released Feb. 26.

New rankings released this week put Parkview High School's baseball team at No. 19, according to MaxPreps

MaxPreps released its top 25 teams Feb. 26. In addition to Parkview High, Grayson High ranked at No. 2 and Loganville High ranked at No. 21.

The rankings consider all overall scores.

There have been a number of rankings released for high school baseball, including one that named Parkview High as the No. 1 team preseason.

The team's season begins March. 1 against Collins Hill High in Suwanee.

In Grayson High's first game against this year, the Rams topped Winder-Barrow, 13-5. On feb. 27, the team plays against Collins Hill High, according to MaxPreps.

Loganville High has started its season, and the team is 2-0. It opened the season with 13-2 win against Snellville's South Gwinnett High. The team then went on to beat Whitewater High, 6-0, according to MaxPreps.

The Parkview Panthers are considered one of the best teams in the nation, as the reigning 2012 state champions in Class AAAAA. The team also won a Baseball America National Championship.

However, the team has lost top players, among them are Matt Olson and Jesse Foster, who both graduated last year.
