The Panthers had to hold on after taking a 5-0 lead in the second game. Centennial, which was the home team in the second game, scored three runs and two more in the fifth, and threatened again after that.

Parkview relief pitcher Steve Esmonde, who had four hits and three RBIs in the series, piched out of a two-on, two-out jam in the bottom of the sixth, then pitched the seventh to pick up the save.
