Viewfinder: Parkview Vs. Norcross

Parkview played good defense, while the offense continued to struggle for the second straight week.

Highly tauted Tennesse recruit Jason Croom and the Norcross Blue Devils visited the Big Orange Jungle for the Parkview home opener. Parkview played good defense, while the offense continued to struggle for the second straight week.

The Parkview defense gave up a few big plays and were up against the ropes early. Down 21 to 0 in the first half, Parkview fought back with two big scores from Chris Carson and Patrick Flowe to bring the game within a touchdown. With six seconds to go in the first half, Norcross had the ball on the Parkview two yard line. Instead of going for the field goal, Norcross went for the touchdown and was denied by the Parkview tough defense. The half ended with Norcross up 21 to 14.

Parkview received the ball to open the second half and never seemed to get the offense to click. Norcross managed to get a couple of key receptions from 6-5" wide receiver Jason Croom, followed by a huge interception which put Norcross up by three touchdowns. Norcross went on to beat Parkview 35 to 14.
