Get Out: Your Weekend Planner June 15-17

Events in and around Lilburn include:

•  Lilburn Farmers Market TODAY from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. More than 40 vendors are signed up to bring you the freshest produce, the softest artisan breads, the tastiest salsas, pasta and even tamales. Entertainment varies each week, but it's ALWAYS great! The market is located in the Greenway Trail parking lot across from Lilburn City Hall and is open 4 PM to 8 PM every Friday in June, July and August.

• Lilburn Idol tonight! Last week, 21 contestants competed in the 2012 Lilburn Idol I round - and with more than 59 contestants ranging in age from 5 to 71 (most fall in the 10-18 year old range) this is going to be a great way to spend a Friday night. All performances are held in beautiful Lilburn City Park. Families can come early to enjoy the playground and shady walking trails. Bring blankets to lay out on the grass or folding chairs to enjoy the show.

• It's going to be a beautiful weekend for a special cause. Snellville has dedicated this whole weekend as a fundraiser for Aimee Copeland. Bands, 5K Races, Food and fun for the whole family. It's the .

• In addition to all the normal fun stuff at Stone Mountain, this weekend's showcases some very special Christian music. 

• On Sunday, the City of Lilburn hosts 313TH US ARMY BAND CONCERT from 6 until 7:00 p.m. Performance is in the City Park Bandshell.
