Get Out: Your Weekend Planner June 22-24

Looking for some fun things to do close to home this weekend? Here's a few ideas!

Here's what's happening in Gwinnett County this weekend. Click on the pdf accompanying this article for a comprehensive list of weekend events compiled by the Gwinnett Convention and Visitors Bureau. (To enlarge, click on the magnifying glass with the plus sign in it at the bottom of the pdf)

Events in and around Lilburn include:

  • Saturday, June 23 - City of Lilburn Garage Sale. There are 40 spots available and, according to Leslie Edwin, they usually have 80-100% capacity. You'll see everything from unique housewares, LOTS of kids' clothes and toys, antiques, artwork and even the kitchen sink! Several groups sell items for charitable organizations, so that's a pretty special thing.  The remaining dates for this year are June 23, September 15, and October 20. Registration is now open for the June 23rd City Garage Sale. You can find more information at the city's website www.cityoflilburn.org
  • Saturday, June 23 - Community Garage Sale for Susan G. Koman - 1507 Ridgewood Dr SW, 8:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
  • Saturday, June 23 - Parkview Community Garden Grand Opening.  Garden Opening Day is June 23rd from 3-6 pm. All are welcome!
  • Saturday & Sunday - The last weekend of the New London Theatres' Miracle Worker.
