According the the Congressional Budget Office's updated estimates, tax increases as a result of the implementation of the Affordable Care Act will be 0.029%. Of course the anti-progress crowd is already calling this the "biggest Middle Class tax increase in American History." Once again, they just make stuff up as it suits their warped frame of reference.
In case you are not accustomed to being lied to by these folks, here are some real numbers regarding tax increases in recent history:
Reagan's Tax Equity Act: .98% tax increase
Bush I's Omnibus Budget: .50% tax increase
Clinton's Omnibus Budget: .63% tax increase
Affordable Care Act: .029% tax increase
Apparently math is not one of their stronger suits. Not surprising though since many of them would also rather we didn't teach actual science in high school science classes either.
What say you?
