Get a Burger to Support Lilburn Relay Rally

Thursday cookout will benefit cancer research.

Chief Bruce Hedley and Mayor Pro Tem Tim Dunn will be flipping hamburgers and searing hot dogs Thursday to raise money for the Lilburn Relay Rally.

The , which is open to the public, will be held noon to 2 p.m. at the . Side dishes and desserts will be provided by city staff and friends.

The suggested donation is $5 per plate. The money will be used to fund cancer research.

The is scheduled April 29, beginning at 5:30 p.m. at Lilburn City Park. As of noon Wednesday, 110 participants and 11 teams have signed up, and nearly $10,000 had been raised. You can donate or sign up here.

The Rally is held to support the American Cancer Society’s annual Relay for Life. The Gwinnett Relay for Life is scheduled May 6 at the Gwinnett County Fairgrounds.
