Help Feed Local Families in Need Via St. Vincent de Paul's Food Pantries

St. Vincent de Paul, which has a location in Lilburn, is in need of non-perishable food and financial donations to be sure it is able to meet community demand.

During especially the summer, many low-income families find it challenging to provide meals. Although many neighborhoods have summer meal programs, not every child in need has access to them, St. Vincent de Paul officials said in a press release.

Through its food pantries, St. Vince de Paul serves 35 counties in north and middle Georgia.

"I have faith that our community will help St. Vincent de Paul during this challenging time," said John Berry, the nonprofit's executive director and chief executive officer.

He added: "Typically, between June and August, we receive significantly fewer food and financial donations therefore reducing the amount of food we have available to provide to families in need.

"We are asking the community to help put food on the tables of these families by either donating non-perishable food items to our local food pantry facilities or making a financial contribution to SVdP today. The community's generosity is very much appreciated."

Donors can also make food or financial donations to the Conference Support Center in Chamblee, or visit the website at www.svdpgeorgia.org and click the "Donate Now" button to make an online donation to help feed Georgia families in need.
