Lilburn Opportunities for Gwinnett Great Days of Service

Volunteers are needed in Lilburn for the Gwinnett Great Days of Service, Sept. 30 and Oct. 1

Two organizations in Lilburn are taking part in the 12th annual Gwinnett Great Days of Service, Sept. 30 and Oct. 1, and they are looking for volunteers.

Rebecca Minor Elementary School: Saturday, Oct. 1, 9 a.m. - 1 p.m.

4129 Shady Drive, Lilburn

Volunteers are needed to help clean up the school's nature trail and garden. Helpers will clear trails, repair the seating area, weed and clean the garden, spread mulch, trim shrubs and bushes. Some tools will be at the site, but volunteers are asked to bring gloves, shears loppers and hammers, if possible. Volunteers should be 14 and older.

St. Vincent de Paul Thrift Store: Friday, Sept. 30, 9 a.m. - 1 p.m.

4974 Lawrenceville Highway, Lilburn

Four volunteers are needed to clear out the storage unit and to help the thrift store with its seasonal changeover. Volunteers should be 12 and older.

The Gwinnett Great Days of Service is organized by the Gwinnett Coalition of Health and Human Services and was started in 2000 to "address the needs of the community and increase awareness of the many agencies and organizations that the Coalition represents and supports."
