Walk/Run Like Champ for Good Cause

Green Bay Packers cornerback Josh Gordy leads fundraiser for Hemophilia of Georgia Saturday at Stone Mountain Park.

Super Bowl Champion Josh Gordy, a Green Bay Packers cornerback, will lead Hemophilia of Georgia's fundraiser, the Trot to Clot Walk/Run on Saturday at Stone Mountain Park.

The walk/run had raised $20,825 as of Friday afternoon, exceeding the group's goal, after a walk last weekend at East Cobb Park.

Gordy, from Warthen, Ga., has close relatives with a bleeding disorder. Last weekend, he led the East Cobb walk, greeting participants before the event, signing autographs and posing for photographs.

Hemophilia of Georgia hopes to raise awareness about hemophilia, Von Willebrand Disease and other bleeding disorders. The money raised will be used for research, education and support of those who suffer from the disorders.

Registration starts at 7 a.m. Saturday, May 21, and costs $25. Participants can also register at www.hog.org/trot.
