Cynthia Anne Cate Cobb, age 73, of Lilburn, Georgia, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, April 23, 2013. She is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Ronald V. “Ron” Cobb, Sr.; four children, Maria Cobb Camarillo(Jose), Ronald Vernon “Ron-Ron” Cobb, Jr. (Oanh), Elizabeth “Beth” Cobb Burrell (Bill) , and Timothy Edward Cobb (Rachel); four grandsons, Ricky Michael McElroy, Kevin Paul McElroy, Brandon Jose Camarillo, and Johnathan Paul Cobb; brother, Ed Cate (Nancy); brother-in-law, Mickey R. Cobb (Hilda); her three devoted cat companions, “YumYum”, “George” and “C.T.”; nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. Ruby Austin, age 91 passed peacefully away on Tuesday, April 16, 2013. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Austin, and is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Scott King of Lilburn. Three grandsons also survive her: Jeremy King, of New York City, Adam King, of Atlanta, and Ryan and Sarah King, of Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Mrs. Austin was born in Durham, North Carolina and spent the majority of her life caring for others as a homemaker and childcare provider. Since 1985, she lived in Gwinnett County, in Lilburn, with her daughter and family. She is known for her caring and loving nature, and will be missed by friends and family. Fred E. Johnston, age 64 of Lilburn, GA passed away April 2, 2013. He was preceded in death by his father, Fred Johnston and his father-in-law, Delbert Drum and is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Patricia Johnston; son, Brad Johnston; mother, Edith Johnston; mother-in-law, Eloise Drum; brother, Daniel and Marilyn Johnston; numerous cousins and many loving relatives and friends. Fred contracted polio at the age of nine months. While at Warm Springs, Ga., he was chosen as the March of Dimes poster child, the youngest chosen at the time. He spent much of his childhood at Warm Springs. Later, Fred was an Eagle Scout. He graduated from Georgia State University with BBA degree as an accounting major. He received his Juris Doctorate …

Teeka Sailors was told by doctors that she needed a liver transplant within five months, according to friend and Snellville resident Kathy Hildebrand, or her chances for survival are slim. On April 3, she passed away. She was 49. Sailors' church family at Killian Hill Baptist Church had formed a group called "Team Teeka", and hosted a number of fundraisers for her. Even if she had a transplant, she would have needed immune-suppressant medications for the rest of her life. Austin Frank Schall, of Lilburn, GA was born July 5, 1928 and passed away on March 1, 2013. He was the eldest of 2 sons born to August and Lena Schall of St. Louis, MO. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Beverly J. Schall (nee Wright), his two daughters, Kathy Schall of San Francisco, her partner Trevor Wall; and daughter Leslie Schall, her husband Terry Reuter, and his two grandchildren, Anna Reuter and Alec Reuter, all of Cincinnati, OH; his brother Edward Schall and wife Linda Schall of Phoenix, AZ and their 7 children. The vewing and funeral for Hannah Rinehart, wife of South Gwinnett math teacher Mark Rinehart, will be this Saturday. There will be two viewings. The first is from 5 to 9 p.m. on Friday, and the second will be from 9 to 11:45 am on Saturday at the Ingram Funeral Home in Cumming, Ga., located at 210 Ingram Avenue. The owner of Garmon Beauty College was buried yesterday.
Services were held in Lilburn yesterday, March 4, for longtime Tucker resident Ila Garmon who died last week at the age of 93. "She resided in Tucker for about 50 years, on LaVista Circle," reader Penny Hall told Tucker Patch. "She owned Garmon Beauty (College) out on Highway 29 forever."
