100 years in the making
Lilburn commemorates centennial with collections for time capsule.
Lilburn resident Donald Sequeira says that when the call went out for volunteers to be on the Centennial Committee for Lilburn's big 100th anniversary celebration, he was ready to get involved. He thought that as a member of the committee, he could be a part of history. "To complete 100 years is a great thing for any city," says Sequeira, who has been involved in much of the anniversary planning, including a time capsule that will be buried with items from the city's history. He is looking forward to burying the capsule this Saturday, Dec. 4, during the city's weekend of Christmas celebrations.
