Funeral Arrangements Have Been Made for Dakota Waters, 17

Dakota Waters was a junior at Berkmar High School in Lilburn.

Dakota Waters, age 17, of Lawrenceville, passed away Wednesday, January 16, 2013. Dakota was a student at Berkmar High School, Lilburn. He was preceded in death by his Brother: Jeremy Waters; Grandfather: Beeler Waters. He is survived by Father: Jerrell Waters of Lawrenceville; Mother: Jill LeRoy of Las Vegas, NV; Grandmother: Mrs. Inez Waters of Lawrenceville; several aunts, uncles and cousins. In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations to Tim Stewart Funeral Home. Berkmar High Mourning Loss of Dakota Waters, 17

Jorge Quintana, of Gwinnett County Public Schools, confirmed that Dakota Waters was listed as a junior at the Lilburn high school.

Gwinnett County Public Schools is confirming that the teen killed Wednesday in an early morning accident on Lawrenceville Highway is a student at Berkmar High School. Dakota Waters, 17, was listed as a junior at the Lilburn high school, according to Jorge Quintana, a spokesman for Gwinnett County Public Schools (GCPS.) Sharon Mitchell-Golden, of Stone Mountain, turned herself in to police Thursday morning, according to a Gwinnett County Police Department press release. She has been charged with second-degree vehicular homicide, a misdemeanor, and a turn lane violation (driving more than 300 feet in the center turn lane).
