Georgia Bulldogs Football vs. South Carolina: It's on, Baby!

Is the contest between the undefeated Bulldogs and the undefeated Gamecocks the biggest SEC game ever, or just this season, or just this week, or just in South Carolina?

Attention, people outside of Georgia and South Carolina: Do not call, email, text, Facebook or even knock on the doors of people inside Georgia and South Carolina between the hours of 7 and 11 p.m. on Saturday. They will be busy. The states' two undefeated SEC football teams will face off in an increasingly intense rivalry that will determine bragging rights around these parts for another year, and maybe a lot more than that. Georgia Football vs. Florida Atlantic: Low Suspense, Big Money

The UGA Bulldogs are paying well for what everyone expects will be an easy home victory over the Owls.

Few of the 92,000 or so fans headed to Sanford Stadium on Saturday will be expecting a nailbiter as the University of Georgia Bulldogs host Florida Atlantic, a 43-point underdog. What the visiting team will be expecting for its trouble, though, is a big paycheck: UGA has agreed to fork over $1 million for the privilege of hosting Florida Atlantic without a reciprocal visit. The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports that's the most Georgia has ever paid a visiting team. A key purpose of the game, which begins a long homestand for the Bulldogs, is to give the team a seventh home game for the season. UGA is expected to pull in $1.7 million for itself from the game. UGA's Caleb King Ruled Ineligible

Running back played locally at Parkview, Greater Atlanta Christian.

Caleb King has been ruled academically ineligible to play football for the University of Georgia this coming fall. King played high-school football locally at Parkview and Greater Atlanta Christian School. Coach Mark Richt made the announcement Friday in a press release that King will not be able to play for the entire season.  "It's unfortunate Caleb will not be with us this season," Richt said. "We wish him the best in whatever he decides to do; however, we have to move forward and this will provide more opportunities for others to step up." King was a star running back for Parkview his sophomore and junior seasons. He transferred to Greater Atlanta Christian School before his senior year, but suffered a broken leg that kept him from …
