Gwinnett County officers responded to a report of burglary at the Mountain Park Masonic Lodge on Christmas Day. According to a caller from the lodge, miscellaneous papers with a female's name were found at the back of lodge property. The papers were reportedly found on a lawn chair that had been moved from its typical location. The man reporting the crime stated to officers that nothing had been damaged or taken from the lodge itself. Witnesses reported that the lock on a storage shed had been broken off however nothing from inside the shed had been removed. This case is listed as active.

Two of a 64-year-old woman's neighbors on Alamein Drive in unincorporated Lawrenceville have been arrested. One has been charged with her murder.

Gwinnett County Police have arrested two Lawrenceville men in connection with the murder of their neighbor. On Wednesday, police found 64-year-old Parviz Moledina stabbed to death in her home on 1403 Alamein Drive in unincorporated Lawrenceville. Her 2007 Volvo station wagon was reported missing. It was later found on Thanksgiving Day outside the Bass Pro Shop at Sugarloaf Mills Mall. Police issued search warrants after searching Moledina's car. Update: 8:18 p.m., Nov. 24: Arrests have been made in this case. A woman was reportedly killed in her home outside the Lawrenceville city limits late Wednesday night, November 21. At about 10:45 pm, Gwinnett County Police were called to a home at 1403 Alamein Drive in unincorporated Lawrenceville. When they arrived, officers found a woman dead from multiple stab wounds. The victim was identified as Parviz Moledina, 64. According to police, Moledina lived alone. Gwinnett Police Cpl. Jake Smith said the woman's car, a silver 2007 Volvo station wagon, was missing from the home. A Lilburn man contacted Gwinnett Police on Wednesday, Sept. 12 to report that his lawn mower had been stolen. According to police reports, the victim stated that he had finished cutting his grass and went inside his home in the 800 block of Cedar Trace to take a rest before putting up the mower. When the victim returned to his front yard, about an hour and half later, his lawn mower was gone. The mower is described as a Honda, variable speed, self propelled mower. It is gray with a red Briggs and Stratton Engine. The estimated value of the missing property is $700. The victim was able to give police the model and serial number of the missing mower.

Gwinnett Police responded to a call reporting that "a house on a corner was using a fire hydrant to fill up a pool" on Tuesday, Sept. 11, in Lilburn. Officers arriving at the home noted a green garden hose attached to a fire hydrant. The hose led to a pool behind a house in the 1000 block of Carla Joe Drive in Lilburn. According to police reports, the homeowner told officers he was upset over the expense of his water bill and was using the fire hydrant so it would not cost him any more money to fill his pool. The homeowner did not have a permit to use the hydrant and told officers the water had been running for about two hours, filling his pool up with around two feet of water. Somebody broke into a house in the 700 block of Kenion Forest Way in Lilburn and rummaged through the family's bedrooms, but didn't take anything of value, Gwinnett County Police say. The victim told police that when she returned home at about 9:15 p.m on Sept. 8 and entered her home through the garage, she noted that the rear door was completely open. According to police reports, the burglar had apparently entered by the backyard fence and opened a screen door on the back porch. The burlgar used an unidentified object to break the rear door window panel and reach through the broken panel to unlock the door. Update, 2:15 p.m. At around 1:45 p.m., Gwinnett Fire turned over the incident to clean-up company Hepaco on the Jimmy Carter Boulevard ramp form I-85 North. "The clean-up operation is not expected to take very long to complete," said fire spokesman Ct. Tommy Rutledge in a press release. Police and a Department of Transportation HERO unit are still at the scene for traffic control since one lane of the ramp has been re-opened. According the release, the spill of industrial soap was less than 30 gallons and appears to be accidental. It is believed it was erupted from a cap on the tanker, but it's unknown as to how it began leaking. The soap's main ingredient is Naptha, a flammable substance that firefighters were able to quickly identify. …

Gwinnett police are stepping up efforts to find the suppliers of this dangerous drug and increasing its training to deal with suspects, many of whom exhibit superhuman strength.
Reports of people allegedly under the influence of bath salts continue to make headlines. Most recently, Gwinnett County Police were called to the scene of a Duluth man who was acting "bizarre" and ate his own feces. That story came just days after news broke out about an Alpharetta man, also allegedly high on bath salts, was tasered fourteen times when police found him running rampant around a Norcross-area driving range.
