Seven-time Tour de France winner Lance Armstrong has fought years of accusations of doping, but he has finally given up the fight. According to Reuters, on Friday the United States Anti-Doping Agency handed down a lifetime ban on Armstrong and stripped him of all his wins. Although the USADA has ruled, should the International Cycling Union challenge the ruling it is up to a Court of Arbitration for Sports in Lausanne, Switzerland, to make the final decision. Fellow competitors have leveled accusations of doping at Armstrong over the years, however he has never tested positive. After first a mistrial, in a second attempt to convict him, famed pitcher Roger Clemens was found not guilty of perjury Monday.

On Monday, after months of testimony and who knows at what cost, famed baseball pitcher Roger Clemens was found not guilty of lying to Congress. CNN News reported Clemens was found not guilty on all six of the charges he faced. The alleged perjury reportedly happened when he was testifying during an investigation of steroid use among Major League Baseball players. Last week, the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency announced that it was, again, going after cyclist Lance Armstrong for allegedly using performance enhancing drugs during his 16-year career. This also comes after previous attempts to prosecute him and strip him of his seven world Tour de France titles proved unsuccessful. Seven-time Tour de France winner Lance Armstrong is again facing charges that he used performance enhancing drugs while competing for those titles. If found to be true, Armstrong faces a lifetime ban from cycling and he could lose all of his cycling victories. The Washington Post obtained a letter from the US Anti-Doping Agency that said it collected blood samples in 2010-11 that were "fully consistent with blood manipulation including EPO use and/or blood transfusions." The man has never proven positive for drugs in all his testing. I think the USADA is trying to make a statement of "If we can't get you one way, we will get you another!" Relying on hear say from team mates[?] because they have been cought is no way to run a testing facility.
