Holiday Spotlight: Trinity Lutheran Church's Brown Bag Ministry
The holidays are a good time to remember local charities that may need your help. Today we spotlight Trinity Lutheran Church's Brown Bag Ministry.
Lilburn's Trinity Lutheran Church participates in an ongoing brown bag ministry that feeds homeless persons. Once a month, church members and volunteers meet to prepare 100 peanut butter sack lunches. Then, the group distributes them to the hungry in downtown Atlanta. As a community member, you can donate food items or lunch bags, put lunches together, deliver the lunches or drive others. If you want to help pack lunches, the outreach ministry meets 9 a.m. to noon on the second Saturday of each month. Contact the church at 770-972-4418. Check the church out on its website, as well.
